Brentwood Block

Overview

Brentwood Block is the first pedestrian-only masterplan in Burnaby’s fast-growing Brentwood neighbourhood.  Developed by Grosvenor, the 7.9-acre community replaces surface parking with 50,000 ft² of landscaped public realm and boutique retail.  Phase 1 introduces 451 concrete homes in a 41-storey tower, with studio to three-bedroom layouts that frame sweeping mountain, city, and water views.  A new 100,000 ft² community centre anchors the site and complements nearby shopping at The Amazing Brentwood.

Location & Neighbourhood

Sitting two blocks north of Lougheed Highway at Alpha Avenue, Brentwood Block is a two-minute walk to Brentwood Town Centre SkyTrain.  That means downtown Vancouver is only twenty minutes away, while SFU and Metrotown are a single train transfer.  Daily errands are simple thanks to on-site grocers, cafés, and health services, plus the wider mix of dining, entertainment, and big-box stores that already define the Brentwood core.  Tree-lined pedestrian paths connect every building, encouraging car-free living and an active lifestyle.

Key Dates & Deposit

Presales launched in autumn 2024 with a 15 % deposit spread over eighteen months.  Construction is underway, and early 2029 completion is targeted for the condominium tower, followed by rental buildings soon after.  Starting prices are advertised from the mid $500,000s, with strata fees projected once the budget is finalized.
